Arcol Insect Screen Installation Instructions
1. Check that the insect screen fits the door
Place the insect screen on the frame and check that the height is correct and the sides are the same or wider than the frame. Mark the end point of the insect screen (1).
2. Cleaning the door frame
Please clean the door frame thoroughly before applying the Velcro on it with a cloth soaked in detergent and allow it to dry completely.
3. Apply Velcro to the door frame
Starting at mark (1), remove the foil from the 4 cm Velcro (male) and apply it to the door frame. Finally, apply the 2.5 cm Velcro to the sides.
4. Leave the Velcro in place
To ensure an effective hold, leave the Velcro to rest for 1 hour. For rough wooden surfaces you can use the included pins to give an extra hold. Note: the pins will leave holes when removed.
5. Install the insect screen
Attach the insect screen net by tapping out the excess at the sides. The centre of the insect screen should be slightly raised from the sides.
6. Press the net onto the Velcro
Use the pressing tool to press the net firmly onto the Velcro until the hooks come out.
7. Couple the second Velcro tape
Complete the fastening by attaching the second female Velcro tape around the entire perimeter.
8. Cut off the excess netting at the sides
Use the supplied scissors to cut the excess netting at the sides.
9. Leave the Velcro at rest
